Phylectenule reaction on the cornea (Video)

length: 20 seconds

This slitlamp bideo shows a phylectenule bump on the surface of the cornea. This inflammatory nodule is caused by a delayed hypersensitivity reaction to staph antigens in a case of bad blepharitis. This case was successfully treated with good lid hygeine, erythromycin ointment, and a mild steroid.
