This photograph shows a sterile infiltrate of the cornea caused by a hypersensitivity reaction to staph infection of the eyelids. This lesion does not stain, does not infiltrate into the stroma, and was quickly treated with good lid hygeine, artificial tears, and a mild steroid.
To see this opacity in better detail, you might want to view our staph marginal video. This photograph is a direct snapshot from this media clip.
