Retinal Tear (Photo)

This photograph shows a retinal tear that has progressed to a full rhegmatogenous retinal detachment.

The tear/hole can be seen in the middle toward the bottom of the picture. Above this tear, you can see the corrugated folds that are classic for rhegmatogenous detachments. To get a better idea how this looks, watch our rd hole video.
