
This photograph shows a perfluron bubble sitting in the bottom of the anterior chamber of the eye. Thus bubble came from a prior retinal detachment surgery to help reattach the retina.
As perfluron is denser than water, it sinks to the bottom of the Anterior chamber. This has to be watched carefully, as foreign material is not good for the endothelial surface of the cornea and can slowely kill off the endothelial pump mechanism.
