Needle used in eye to remove debris (Photo)

This photograph shows an 18-guage needle used to remove a piece of metal flake (from a grinding wheel) from the cornea. Special spatulas exist for this purpose, but a blunt needle works just as well and is likely to be more sterile.

i have something in my eye and to take it out you have to make surgery on it will it hurt?.
